He introduced the Maharajah Duleep Singh of Lahore to his future wife Bamba Muller when he was traveling enroute to Bombay for his mother's last rites. This book written by Dr Hogg's daughter gives detailed account of how the Sikh Prince wrote to Hogg asking him to find him a suitable Christian wife. After the Maharajah returned from Bombay Hogg conducted their wedding service in June 1864. 8 illustrations including one of Bamba. original red cloth with gilt titles. early ink ownership inscription of Douglas [?] of the Pittsburgh Seminary, 1926. light foxing to title page otherwise a nice copy.
