Hardcover. Very Good: shows very light wear to the extremities, with a mild bump at the bottom edge of both boards; mild rubbing; the gilt titles and the front panel and backstrip are somewhat dulled; faint overall soiling; the pages have tanned very slightly, due to aging. The binding is square and secure; the text is clean, but a couple of former owner's have added their name, place and date to the front free endpaper, one in ink, the other in pencil. Despite a number of minor flaws, and light overall wear, this book remains a clean, sturdy, and quite presentable reading copy. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. 94pp. First Edition [1931]; Second Printing [1932]. Hardback: Lacks DJ. First Edition [1931]; Second Printing [1932].

Hardcover. First Edition [1930], so stated. First Edition [1930], so stated. Good: Shows significant indications of use: light wear to the extremities; moderate rubbing and faint overall soiling to the blue cloth over boards; there is also a small, but darker stain to the upper corner of the rear panel; faint flecks of foxing at the top edge; the pagres have tanned slightly, due to aging; the front hinge appears to have been in danger of cracking and has been inexpertly repaired with (yes!) masking tape. The bnding shows slight lean, but remains, at least with the tape repair, secure; the text is clean. Overall, remains a sturdy, if well-worn, reading copy with a clean text. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. xiii, 269 pages. Introduction by Rufus M. Jones. Deckle Fore-Edge. Hardback: Lacks DJ.
