Prior owner's small name and address sticker to inside front cover. Jacket edges have just light handling rub. NF/VG+ . Fine condition. Sharp corners. Previous owner's small ink stamp ("U.S. Atomic Energy Commission") in three places: front endpaper, rear endpaper and bottom edge of the text block. No other ownership markings -- i.e, clean spine, covers, title page, copyright page, etc. Pages are creamy white, crisp, clean and unmarked. NO underlining. NO highlighting. NO margin notes. "First Edition" is so stated on the title page, but number row on the copyright page indicates a much later printing. Bound in the original gilt-stamped dark blue cloth. Later printing of the 1954 first edition. Oversize Hardcover. Fine condition/No dust jacket. Illus. by NOT a library discard. xiii, 433pp. + 6 page Index. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping.
