This is a history of horsemanship in India, plus the fundamentals of horsemanship, schooling, etc. "I have written with a subjective Indian, or possibly Indo-British slant". Chapters on bits, martingales, spurs; jumping; hunting lions and other game on horseback: "a certain cavalry officer galloped lion .and accounted for no less than eighty lion .quite a few .having been shot around Delhi, about the middle of the last century"; tent pegging, and two chapters on pig sticking. Very good in very good wrapper.

This is a presentation copy from William Lee itch to one of his clients, George Ziegler, nicely inscribed and signed. The tales includes hunting several marauding tigers and elephants.
