Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. First American Edition. Blue cloth w/gilt lettering. Lightly sunned at head and heel of spine. Tips of lower corners just bumped. Text is clean and bright, no marks. Unclipped DJ shows tiny chips head and heel of spine, hint of edgewear. Three stories: Mopsa the Fairy, The Little Padjandrums Dodo, At the Back of the North Wind. With an introduction by Noel Streatfeild and illustrations by the original artists. "The three authors who wrote the stories in this book believed in fairies. But they were writing when Queen Victoria was on the throne, and it is noticeable that people who lived a long time ago were more sensible about fairies than people alive today. That, however is not to suggest that nobody today believes in fairies, but that there are more people about than once were who are disbelievers. The stories will give you a magical time, not only when you are reading them but afterward." (from the introduction).
