Full brown leather binding with stamped and tooled covers. Gilt front cover portrait of a seated Hogarth and his dog that is identical to one of two frontispiece engravings. There two separate half title pages each with its own engraving as well as a frontis engraving. Five raised bands with 6 compartments on spine, stamped Hogarth on rear cover. Page 200 to rear paste down with a damp stain to fore edge that does not affect text but is in the lower margin only of the last two engravings. All engravings with guards. The binding is very strong and hinges not cracked or broken. A hint of intermittent foxing. Covers with light rubbing will clean up very nicely. No marks or inscriptions. Heavy/oversize volume will require additional postage. PayPal accepted.
