A scarce Danish translation of Michael Arlen's novel, The Green Hat. First edition thus. Although Arlen is most famous for his romances satirising smart society, he also published gothic horrors and psychological thrillers. The Green Hat centres around the life of Iris Storm as she attempts to escape her troubled past. The Green Hat became a bestseller upon its publication in 1924, and was adapted into a film starring Great Garbo. In a quarter leather binding over decorative boards. Externally, smart. With a small closed tear to the head of the spine, and a scuff to the leather to one of the front extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Aside from some stains at pages 6 and 7, pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed. book.
