Peter Altenberg was a writer and poet from Vienna, Austria, key to the genesis of early modernism in the city. He cultivated a feminine appearance and feminine handwriting, wore a cape, sandals and a broad-brimmed hat, and despised 'macho' masculinity. Illustrated in brown line art and a frontispiece of Don Juan. The book is protected in its decorated slipcase. In excellent condition with just some unoticable dings to the corners and edges of the slipcase. First printing. Size: 8¾" - 11½" First printing. book.
