Kresensky (1892-1955) was a graduate of Coe College, became a Presbyterian minister, and was the Iowa state director of the Federal Writers Project during the depression. Previous owner's inscription on ffep only marks in book, binding tight. Covers show very light soiling, small nick to cloth top of front cover. Book condition VG. Edition: First Edition Binding: HB.

Exceptionally tight and pristine first edition of this poet's first book, a collection of religion-themed verse, with mildly darkened jacket. (Jacket title: "Emmaus: A Book of Poems.") Kresensky (1897-1955) was a noted Iowa poet, author, short story writer and reviewer.
