Maroon, textured cloth; gilt title medallion deeply embossed with deep blind stamp circular boarder. A handsome copy, bright and clean with minimal wear to boards and corner tips. Clean bright interior with a few small discolorations. Bright full color plates and black and white photos. Originating in the 1930's, United Kingdom, The Lambreth method is a classic cake design that uses a royal icing over-piping technique creating intricate depth by using lots of layers of icing. It's a slow, precise and highly detailed process ending in a work of art. A modern example would be Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding cake.
