Poem by Lemesle accompanied by enormous brightly-colored original lithographs by Artigas. Lithographed throughout, both illustrations and text. Also features a few black and white photographs by Claude Gaspari. Illustrations depict slaughterhouse scenes. Not the book to read before sitting down to a dinner, especially if you're going to have steak. From a total edition of 250 copies, this is ONE OF 25 COPIES WITH AN ORIGINAL SIGNED DOUBLE-PAGE DRAWING BY GARDY-ARTIGAS. Additionally signed on the justification by both author and artist. Huge folio (25 1/2 x 19 1/2 inches; 65 x 50 cm). Loose as issued in wrappers and publisher's cloth folding case, decorated with an additional color lithograph. Fine.
