Brown paper over boards with black stamped cover title. Lacking dust jacket. Title vignette of western scene. Some of the verses first appeared in Contemporary Verse, Adventure, Overland, and Sunset magazines. Born in Massachusetts, the author, Elliott Curtis Lincoln (1884-1970), came to Montana in 1908 to homestead; while homesteading he began writing and publishing poetry. He published several volumes of poetry, becoming known as a cowboy poet; in the 1920s he taught English at Washington State. This was his first book. In Very Good- Condition: edges are rubbed; minor loss of paper over boards along edges; boards are lightly soiled; pages are clean and tight.
