Minor pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Light tanning to spine and edges. Unclipped jacket has moderate edge wear with chips, tears and creasing. Light scuffing to edges. Light tanning to spine and edges.

There is a gift inscription and previous owners name on the ffep. Photographic dustwrapper, with gilt background with black writing on the front panel and spine. Dustwrapper is rubbed and faded with all 4 corners chipped. Rubbing along the fold over edges and there is chipping along the head and heel of the spine. In this book the, then, director of the National Gallery of Victoria describes the bequest, from Alfred Felton, that forms the core of the gallery's art collection . Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
