Etat : Fair. 1893. No Edition Remarks. 82 pages. No dust jacket. Grey cloth with decorations. Black and white illustrated frontispiece. Slight cracking to gutters causing binding to be loose, however pages remain attached. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Previous owner's inscriptions to front free endpapers and rear of frontispiece. Pencil marking to some pages. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Staining to rear board. Wear marks overall.

The original boards have slight wear to the corners and top and bottom of spine; tiny white mark to top back edge. The front board has a drawing of a fisherman and his dog; the back board has the head of a dog to top and bottom an across the middle 'This Book Is Not To Be Lent'. The author was squire to the Rhiwlas Estate in North Wales and best known as organiser of the first sheepdog trials in the UK. A photograph can be sent on request.
