Colour illustrated dustwrapper, again by Kiddell-Munroe, with black and white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. An illustrated version of this famous poem. Minor rubbing of the back strip corners and of the book corners. Age toning of the text block edges and pages. There is a brown stain to the top edge of the front edge and there is a lighter stain to the lower edge. Some foxing to the top text edge. Chipping of the dustwrapper corners and back strip corners. Poem is printed on a card 4 1/4" wide by 6 3/8". Printed attribution in margin below poem is Summer 1872 H. W. Longfellow, Hotel Belle Vue. Pasted on the other side of the card is an uncaptioned view, 5 1/8" wide by 3 1/2", showing some buildings, a body of water, and a boat.

Bump to fore-edge has resulted in 4 pages being creased at margin with very short tear, endpapers toned with hinges starting but still firm, some occasional spots of foxing to edges and margins, a couple of small spots on rear cover and light shelf wear to head and foot of spine. A scarce Australia edition of the works of Longfellow published by EW Cole of Cole's Book Arcade - no date but appears to be c1920s. An attractive little volume. Size: 8vo.
