Livre Edition originale
First edition. 88 pages. Part of "Blackies Sports Series" with "Moving" pictures. The book is firmly bound in lightly marked and rubbed red cloth, lettered in black, the extremities are slightly bumped and rubbed. The text block is slightly dusty, marked and age toned, with the bookplate of Eric Geoffrey Goldrein to the front pastedown. Eric was a local WW2 hero, who famously captured 60 German soldiers while wounded during the Normandy Landings, he has also drawn a 3D "E" in pencil to the rear endpaper. The dust jacket is the original and not price clipped, it is quite rubbed and stained, with minor nicks and short closed tears to the edges, the spine and part of the rear panel are faded. An interesting series, each title combining expert instruction with multiple "flicker" book demonstrations of the movements, but in a robust hardback format. That said, robust or not, most have been flicked to destruction by now and this particular title is rarely encountered in the dust jacket.
