Etat : Very Good. limited to 3 copies signed by Brown and printed on Imperial Japanese Vellum with hand illuminated initials; the etched frontis. portrait of Louys and three etchings each in three states, making for a total of 12 plates, with an example of each hand colored and another example of each signed by James Fagan; small quarto, 341 pp., rebound in modern imitation green leather, t.e.g. with others untrimmed, occasional age spotting but overall a very good copy; Louy's hoax that convinced a number of contemporary scholars that these poems were the work of a 6th Century B.C. author. - If you are reading this, this item is actually (physically) in our stock and ready for shipment once ordered.
