The cover is very nice with some light wear, back cover is very nice. There is a partial inside spine crack but holding nicely. It has nice edges and corners with just a touch of wear. Very nice spine & spine ends with hardly any wear. The book is flat & the pages are tight & bright, no page tears. p/o name in box. No scribbles. No puzzle in back! Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. The lower spine crown is heavily chipped for perhaps a half inch but still holding firm. Corners are moderately bumped but intact. Some interior corners slightly folded and some minor spotting on a few inner pages. The back puzzle is missing the right upper piece and all others are intact. Previous owners penciled name on inside front cover.This is an 'A' edition as designated on the last page. Overall, and very nice copy about a young boy's adventures and coming of age.

Extremely scarce jigsaw puzzle is present with all pieces intact. on the bad side or somewhat good side as it saved the puzzle, previous owner taped around the puzzles edges with clear 1950s era tape and across the interior puzzle pieces so as to make sure none could fall out, which did do its job. Clear tape from that era has yellowed slightly but is not brittle. No Signature.
