There are some tiny areas of abrasion to the cloth of the front board, and the spine is faded and slants forward a bit. From the collection of Berkeley book collector and letter press printer, John Ruyle. Bleiler Checklist. A society romance with ghosts and supernaturalism. Mary St. Leger Kingsley was the daughter of social reformer Reverend Charles Kingsley. Many of her works confronted harsh social issues. Although well admired as a writer in her day, her works have largely fallen into obscurity.
