Original dark gray cloth, lettered in silver on the spine and front cover, black-and-white pictorial dust jacket square, 4to (12 x 10 inches). The text is by Harvey Manning, and the maps are by Dee Molenaar. The North Cascades National Park is an American national park in the state of Washington. At more than 500,000 acres (200,000 ha), it is the largest of the three National Park Service units that comprise the North Cascades National Park Complex. North Cascades National Park consists of a northern and southern section, bisected by the Skagit River that flows through the reservoirs of Ross Lake National Recreation Area (from Wiki). No ownership marks and few signs of use. The dust jacket is frayed along the top edge, a fine copy in a very good dust jacket.

The book is in excellent condition with clean covers, sharp corners, the slightest rubbing very tips of corners (= loss of a little coloring), no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, no foxing, solid binding. The original dust jacket has a tiny 5mm tear upper front with slight crinkle, tiny 2mm loss top rear spine corner, very minor soiling, original printed price still present on front flap corner. The book measures 310mm tall x 257mm, and has 94 pages, 66 duotone sharp b/w photos, 2 sketches, 10 maps. Classic photographic description (with text too) of some of the most rugged mountains in the lower 48 states. The photos are of the mountains: Northern Pickets, Nooksack Cirque, Park Creek Pass, Cascade Pass, Kool-Aid Lake to White Rock Lakes, Dome Peak area, Bonanza-Entiat area. THE PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
