Original half-vellum over green boards. Vellum shows typical discoloration, gilt on spine and top edge. Binding sound; several signatures slightly pulling. Deckle edges. Endpapers toned. Interior clean. Good condition. Limited to 250, this being 88. Printed on Van Gelder paper. Initialed by the author who was also the publisher on limitation page. Mylar wrapper. Collection of slightly altered essays which originally appeared in "The Fishing Gazette", along with 16 very pleasing illustrations. Even though the author calls himself the Amateur Angler, not all the essays are about fishing but also about the birds and mammals he encounters on his Sunshine Holyday.

Phoenix Edn, XVI 154 pages, 4pp adverts, portrait frontis of Marsden + 12 other full page plates, publishers 1/4 white cloth over green cloth boards, gilt phoenix vignette to upper cover, vg. Marston in his preface to this edition that he has slightly revised Days In Dovedale and added the first 52 pages of Dovedale Revisited and calls it "The Phoenix Edition". The binding differs to that mentioned in Hampton's revised bibliography.

Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. Numbered, limited edition. A collection of essays in the form of 14 letters to "The Fishing Gazette" illustrated with 6 plates and a frontispiece. Descriptions of three holidays in Wales and one on the Wye. This is a limited edition of 25 copies printed on Japanese Vellum Paper and initialed by the author. All plates, mainly half tone photographs, have their tissue protectors still in place. Quarter bound with parchment spine and decorative cloth boards with gilt titles. No title to spine, t.e.g. Fore-edges rubbed and corners bumped. Small brown (foxing?) spot to lower fore-edges of last 7 leaves. Initialled by author.
