First edition. First edition. Two volumes. 8vo. Light blue printed wrappers, xvi, 320 pp., double column, illustrated from photographs, tables, diagrams, plates, references, index. An extensive study of the geology of Big Bend National Park. Topics covered include land forms, stratigraphy, early tertiary mammals, geology of intrusive igneous rocks, structural geology, etc. The second volume contains the eleven issued maps that are neatly boxed in a separate carton. Both volumes are housed in the originally issued slipcase with a paper label on the spine and titles printed in black, Volumes lightly sunned on the spine else a fine virtually unused set. Scarce.
