Illustration are black and white, carscrtures reminiscent of Giles Characters. . ~#~ ##THIS is a book about England; a valentine, In tact, for the most beautiful, wonderful, exciting country in Europe. I admit the valentine, in advance. Here's England is no mealymouthed, judicious guide-book; my husband and I are not in the least neutral. We love England?in spite of raspberry trifle, toad-in-hole, kippers, no ice, dish-water beer, and long underwear. These sordid trifles indicate that, although impassioned, this book is also practical. Love has not totally dewed over our approach. Richard and I are American tourists; we belong to the great Solidarity of the Green passport and the Round-Trip Steamer Ticket, long may it wave. We love Canterbury, but we firmly draw the line at Treacle Pudding. In fact Richard and I are realists. England can be tremendous, terrific, vishing, delightful?but you have to know how. ## Some illustration. ## #### INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Please Note. FREE SHIPPING IS UK ONLY.
