Job was the pen-name of Jacques Marie Gaston Onfroy de Breville (1858-1931), artist and illustrator, best known for his illustrated children's books, of which this is one of his more well-known. Text in French. First edition (first printing). A very good copy in green cloth covers with embossed design on front cover and gilt lettering on front cover and spine. Edge and corner wear with boards showing on corners and edges. Foxing to some text pages. Illustrations are near fine.
