Etat : Poor. 8vo, title, summary and contents, then vol 2 pagination from pp531 to 935, then the secret history of lewis xi, by de troyes, 1712, 144pp, errata leaf, no spine outer , boards present detached, and worn, for rebinding, title page has old tape down left margin and overleaf across middle to next leaf, title page is aged and leaves are aged but all text visible, history of lewis xi is good, a rebinder of vol 11 and somewhat aged but priced accordingly. Book.

London, 1712; Vol. 2 only; three-quarter bound leather and paper covered boards; no dust jacket; bumping at corners of cover; edge worn; leather scuffed at bottom corner of front board; rubbing on cover, along joints, and on raised bands of back strip; front and rear end papers cracked at hinges, but structure of binding is solid; insect damage on last 100 pages; foxing on interior pages but no markings; 8vo - over 7 3/4" - 9 3/4" Tall; irregularly paginated.

Front cover of vol. 2 is loose, but holding; cover of volume 1 is unattached. Other than the loose covers, the volumes are in good condition; text is clean with very little foxing.
