Octavo, boards. First edition. Anthology of short stories by Australian servicemen in New Guinea, the fruits of an informal workshop open to all, in which members read and critiqued each other's work. Has several weird tales. "The Sore" by Murray Gordon (short weird tale about a tiny sore on a man's arm that grows bigger and bigger until it consumes his entire body and brain, becoming a separate living entity). "The Twin" (same author) about the weird sympathy at a distance of twins. "Home is the Sailor" by Ronald Winton (a soldier has a mystical vision of an American soldier of Norse ancestry at the moment of his death; Erik had saved the other's life and made him a blood brother. "2066 and All What?" is a sf tale of the future in which a robot goes haywire and has to be terminated. Spine leaned, cloth a little rubbed, owner's name inked out on front free endpaper, a very good copy. (#112202).
