Bound in full blind embossed dark brown leather. Spine gold-stamped with the title and elaborate decorations. Light wear to the binding. Some light surface scuffing. We have treated the leather with a professional book conservator's leather dressing to good effect. No slope, no twist from reading or improper shelving. No bump ed corners. No broken hinges. Pages are tight and clean with no marks. No foxing. A number of steel engravings. A fold-out engraving "Christ Blessing the Children" at page 633 has tears. No name of previous owner. No odor. No water stains. No soiling. No sun fading.
