Spiral Bound. First Edition, First Printing. pp. 84 + 4 pages of index. Small 8vo., measuring 6" x 9". Illustrated card covers bearing the crest of the Catholic Women's League ("For God & Country") to the centre of the front cover; held with brown plastic spiral binding. Replete with a rich selection of recipes, all accompanied with the name of their respective contributors. Sections include: Relishes, Jellies & Pickles; Soups & Salads; Hors d'Oeuvres, Party and T.V. Snacks; Meats & Poultry; Rolls & Breads; Pies, Pastries & Desserts; Recreation Room - Patio Dining and Group Serving; Recipes from Foreign Countries; Lenten or "Holiday Dishes"; and much else. Covers rubbed, some spotting, contents remain quite clean, and unmarked with sound binding. Overall, very good. Rare in commerce, and unrecorded in OCLC. Not at Peel, LAC/BAC, University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections. Scarce.
