Hardcover. First Edition. Three parts in one. [18], 366, 72, [8], 124pp. Modern red quarter morocco over vellum, spine lettered and decorated in gold. Title printed in red and black, head-pieces, initials. With four foldout engravings, one inserted plate, and sixty-five in-text illustrations. Professional restoration to title page and corners of several of the leaves, some soiling and staining to text block. We have seen a handful of copies of this title, each with its sections bound in different ways and each lacking some of the leaves and/or some of the engravings. This particular copy has one leaf (comprising pages 206 and 207) in facsimile; lacks three foldout engravings with their index and the frontispiece; has a couple of the engravings inserted twice. Moreover, the preface to part II was bound at the beginning of part III. Still an attractive copy of an uncommon title with some gruesome engravings. Graesse V.106. ; Quarto.

Bibliografia: Bibl. Med. Neerl. I:93; Blake, 336; STCN. - BB IV:617/618:P73; Waller, 70654; Wellcome IV, 287. Cfr.
