Light foxing to textblock and some page browning. Not as bad as it sounds! Packaged with care and promptly dispatched!.

Full-Leather. Etat : Good. First Edition. Probably the first edition. Anecdotes of Genius. The full collection of anecdotes was also originally published in 1821. Contemporary half leather with marbled boards. The title is stamped to the spine. The corners are bumped with some rubbing and there is a one inch long surface tear to the rear panel. Previous owner's name in ink to the front free endpaper - Isabella Wale of Shelford near Cambridge. There is some other writing and dates to the title page and the dedication page. One third of the final page - the index - has been torn away and the rear free endpaper is also missing. There is light browning to the pages which are otherwise generally unmarked.
