The first part of the book - A Pictorial History of the 1914-1919 Fight fr Freedom and Liberty was written by Russell, the second part - The Official Story of American Operations in France was written by Pershing and special additional chapters were written by Miller, all being edited by Eaton, this is an important contemporary work covering US involvement in the latter stages of the First World War. Includes b/w photographs and maps. 514pp. Black cloth boards with gilt lettering. Boards are bumped to corners with shelf wear and some fade. Spine cloth is heavily faded with nicks to cloth at both head and foot. Text block in good order but pages are foxed throughout.
