Etat : Fair. 1876. No Edition Remarks. 270 pages. No dust jacket. Green pictorial boards with gilt lettering. Pages are moderately tanned with fairly heavy foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Former owner's ink inscription to front free endpaper, with retail label and pencil inscription to paste-down. Slight cracking to front hinge and gutters, with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Occasional grey thumb-marking present throughout. Pencil mark on page 1, with grey rubbing and a few small nicks to text block edges. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with mild bumping to corners and slight rubbing to surfaces. Fairly heavy tanning to spine, with visible crushing to spine ends. Book has a subtle forward lean and bow. faint mottling to front and rear boards. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.
