Well this is the book for you, with a list of activities you probably have never considered - or even heard of! There are Mirthful Games and Parlor Pastimes, Ninety-Five Forfeits, Acting Charades, Rebuses, Conjuring, Magic and Mystery, Sleight of Hand, Fireworks and Chemical Surprises (just what you need to try in your kitchen!). The book has many illustrations, some by George Cruikshank, the reknowned Brisish caricaturist and illustrator. The book has some problems. The pages are very toned and a few, including the title page, are loose. The boards are a little scuffed. The embossed front board says Alta Edition, Former owner's bookplate on ffep, William H. Doe. There is no date, but comps estimate 1873. Lots of fun to read! ; B&W Drawings; Small 8vo 7½" - 8" tall; non paginated + ads pages.
