Stapled wraps. Etat : Near Fine. Illustrated by Price, Margaret Evans (illustrateur). First Edition. Tiny spot of soiling to one page, a few tiny spots of rubbing to wrappers. A lovely near-fine copy. ; This lovely 1916 children's Christmas book tells the story of a little boy who flies to the North Pole in a "flying machine" and helps Santa bring Christmas joy to other children. Written during World War I, the book would have had particular appeal to the little boys who looked at military aviators as heroes. The illustrations by Margaret Evans Price--the children's book illustrator and the first Art Director of the company she co-founded, Fisher-Price--are particularly notable for their beauty and vividness. ; Color Illustrations; Folio 13" - 23" tall.
