First and only edition of this spectacularly rare account of Aix-les-Bains: its history, its present, and recommendations concerning how it must adapt to changing times. 59 pp. From a very small edition, this is A SPECIAL LARGE-PAPER COPY, POSSIBLY UNIQUE, PRINTED ON FINE DEEP BLUE WOVE PAPER WITH LARGE MARGINS. This is furthermore a fine association copy with a signed inscription from the author, the Comte de Quinsonas, to the Vicomte de Vaulogé. 4to. Beautifully bound in contemporary half-morocco and marbled boards, original pink printed and illustrated wraps preserved. Top edge gilt. Light wear to extremities of binding, else FINE AND BRIGHT. Extremely rare: the only other copy I have located is in the Bibliothèque Nationale.
