15. Paris, Librairie Damascène Morgand, édouard Rahir et Cie. , Successeurs, 1899, in-folio, 46 x 30,5 cm, viii pp + 328 pp + 42 plates, bound in creme coloured publisher's boards. Uncut copy, Printed in 350 numbered copies. Boards with some slight use, margins of this uncut copy a bit dustsoiled but a fine copy. Superb catalogue describing and illustrating a magnificent collection of books and manuscripts , many of distinguished provenance ( there is a provenance index). Many of the plates reproduce magnificent bindings. These reproductions are made in embossed chromolithography , heightened with gold, by the Paris printing company Engelmann. Some plates are in photoengraving which were made by Dujardin. The catalogue was printed by L. Danel de Lille. The quality of the binding illustrations will remain unsurpassed. Text in French.
