Prev owner's name and book plate with a shop stamp on the front flyleaf. The front end-papers each have a long stain. There is some pencil underlining on the first three pages otherwise the pages seem to be clean. Blind-stamped blue cloth boards heavily flecked at by the lower edge of the front board, with lightly flecked edges and a worn, darkened spine. Following the Introduction, the book covers the three methods, still life, flowers, landscape (three chapters), figure, the preservation of pastels, and materials. Size: 4to.
