Soft cover. Etat : As New. Oblong 4to. First edition. 126 pages. Numerous full page colour plates. Text in French. A very tiny bit of rubbing to wraps but inconspicuous. Glossy smooth as new, no creasing whatsoever anywhere. Ristelhueber's first book. She was originally commissioned to write the text for this book, by her future husband and Viva member Francois Hers, but unable to contribute text she instead contributed photographs (in addition to his). The book is divided into two parts; the first part is colour photographs (by Hers) and the second is black and white photographs of the occupants, by Ristelhueber. Originally commissioned to document social housing in Wallonia and seeing a lack of coherence in the housing stock, Hers (not a typo) instead chose to focus on the interiors, and their saturation of space with patterns, furniture, objects , and tapestry.
