John Kennedy never wanted to be a soldier but to develop farming and bloodstock interests in Kildare. However he became a legend in the Irish Guards, serving in Norway, north Africa and n.w. Europe. He was killed in battle, Feb. 1945. This tribute is paid from his correspondence, interviews those who fought with him, and tells the story of his family and their loss.
