Livre
Soft cover. Etat : Near Fine. NF. Wrappers clean and glossy, with just a touch of loss to the word "collection" on the front. Both spine and wraps are uncreased. No names, marks, underlining, highlighting, or dogears internally. Pages are remarkably clean and bright. This compilation of accounts (by various journalists) of con artists and their swindles makes for perfect summer reading. You'll gasp and guffaw at the brazenness of fraudsters and the gullibility of their victims. This copy is a true survivor that seems to have been sitting on a shelf since its stated publication date of January 1981. We await the arrival of a companion volume reporting the various forms of hoaxing and swindling that the digital age has made possible.

Octavo hardcover (VG+) ; all our specials have minimal description to keep listing them viable. They are at least reading copies, complete and in reasonable condition, but usually secondhand; frequently they are superior examples. Ordering more than one book will reduce your overall postage costs.
