Base on content discussed at the International Symposium on Anthropology of the Wenner-Gren Foundation. A collection of anthropological essays on topics such as: technological aids in anthropology, physical anthropology and the biological basis of human behaviour, patterns in biology, linguistics, and culture, and values. Edited by Sol Tax, an American anthropologist best known for creating action anthropology and his studies of the Meskwaki Indians; Loren C. Eiseley, an American anthropologist, educator, philosopher, and natural science writer who received many honorary degrees; Irving Rouse. an American archaeologist best known for his work in the Greater and Lesser Antilles of the Caribbean; and Carl F.
