Publisher's original illustrated stapled card wrap covers. 8vo. 8½'' x 5½''. Contains 64 printed pages of text with monochrome cartoon illustrations throughout. A few surface rubs to the spine ends and corners and in Very Good condition, no dust wrapper as published. SIGNED by Vicky inside the front cover 'To Sylvia - for her to learn, from Vicky, January 1950.' Weisz was born in Berlin, Germany, to Hungarian-Jewish parents. He studied at the Berlin School of Art and by 1928, at the age of fifteen, he was working as a freelancer, drawing caricatures. His father committed suicide that same year and Weisz began work with the journal 12 Uhr Blatt. His work also appeared in other German newspapers. He followed his father in suffering from depression and insomnia and committed suicide at his London home on 22 February 1966. Member of the P.B.F.A. HUMOUR (Satire, Cartoon).
