Hardcover. Etat : Good. Y Buncle, Arbroath, no date [c. 1947]; 8vo, 145 x 220mm; pp 94; blue cloth, titled black; some light foxig but generally firm and clean. . . . . . The book is specifically a military history and barely covers any civil organisations active in wartime. There's also not much on the Royal Manx Fencibles or the specific part played by the Isle of Man during WWI, in each instance because the relevant subject has been covered in separate books by the same author. There is, however, material on the fortresses, the militia, early and Victorian volunteers and the Fencibles as well as lists of officers and personell of batallions or other relevant groupings.
