Hardcover. Etat : Good. Etat de la jaquette : Fair. Octavo, pp. 262 plus three pages of ads. Frontispiece and three other illustrations. Previous owner name on free front endpaper. Some rubbing on the fore-edge of the rear board, and a half-moon shaped tear at the fore-edge of one of the ad pages (loss of margin, but no loss of text). GOOD and sound in the publisher's green cloth with gilt stamped spine and front cover titles. POOR only dust jacket is quite weary, with moderate soiling and a 3 inch vertical red rear panel stain. There is extensive chipping at spine ends, edges, and fold points. Jacket has perished at crown of spine and across most of the front panel's top edge, though the illustration of the bat-like cover character is not affected. Protected against further wear by a new sheet of archival mylar. Withal, a serviceable copy of this elusive title.
