First edition of this adaptation. The play was first acted in 1763 and first published in the same year. NCBEL III 858-9. A nearly fine copy in good decorated dust jacket with small chips at spine ends and along top edge of front panel, age-darkened spine panel, and some dust soiling. (#109590).

If there was once stamping on the spine, it has long since faded. Some water staining to covers that has extended to first and last few pages. Rough cut pages have experienced a bit of extra wear, but nothing significant. Illustrated frontispiece of Nourjahad waking from his second trance. Pages are wrinkled and toned, but certainly still in good reading condition. This was Sheridan's final novel, published posthumously. A scarce edition.
