There is very little shelf wear. The spine is solid and the binding is tight. Round the Bend was a 1951 novel by Nevil Shute. It tells the story of Constantine "Connie" Shaklin, an aircraft engineer who founds a new religion transcending existing religions based on the merit of good work.

Soft cover. Etat : Near Fine. M2030-Published May 1963. Trade Paperback. Normal shelf and display wear. There are no marks on the pages except book store stamp and one page clipped. Pied Piper is a novel by Nevil Shute, first published in 1942. The title is a reference to the traditional German folk tale, "The Pied Piper of Hamelin". The story concerns an elderly Englishman, John Sidney Howard, who goes on a fishing holiday in France after the Second World War breaks out, but before the fall of France. Entrusted with the care of two British children, and overtaken by events, he attempts to return to England and safety.
