The first essay, titled The Ukrainian Problem", was written by G. W. Simpson with regard to the most urgent problem of nationalism in Europe: Ukrainian nationalism. Simpson contends that Ukrainian nationalism is opposed to the interests of stability in Eastern Europe. The second essay titled, Claims of the Ukrainians, by Wasyl Swystun describes the claims and assertions of the Ukrainian Nationalist movement as related to the Ukrainian Canadian population in the interwar period.
