Minor issues present such as annotations & marginalia, mild crinkling, inscriptions and mild tanning. Boards have mild edge wear with light rubbing and crushing. Some light marking and tanning causing discolouration. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. There is bumping to corners. Book has a slight forward lean.

Contains black and white illustrations throughout. Vol. II. Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Pages are mildly tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Noticeable marking to some pages throughout; text is not obscured. Binding is firm. Boards and spine have minimal shelf-wear, with mild corner bumping and scuffing to ends. More noticeable scuffing to edge of spine. Moderate rubbing and scuffing overall.
