There is a wealth of information on construction, design, finishing, machines, veneers, upholstering, history, furniture industry, technical specifications, etc. Contains an index, glossary, bibliography and biographies of furniture craftsmen from many eras in the rear. This is a very pretty copy in the original red flexible cloth covers with gilt spine and cover lettering; the top edge is gilt. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. Size: 6.5" x 4.25" ; B&W Illustrations; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 898 pages.
