Soft cover. Etat : Good. 1st Edition. Gray card cover stock with paste-on cover title label; 8vo; 55pp; illustrated with b/w photo frontispiece; fore edges untrimmed; printed by R.L. Bryan Company, Columbia, SC. Staats' second safari into Kenya and Tanganyika with professional hunters, Syd Downey and John Kingsley-Heath. Other party hunters included Myles Turner, Donald Ker and Jack Block. They successfully bagged leopard, kudu, oryx and other lesser game. Told in diary form. This copy in good condition with uneven sunning to both covers, mild soiling to front panel and title inked to spine. Some light foxing to rear of frontispiece plate, otherwise internally quite clean. An uncommon item as the OCLC locates but 5 copies.
